Areas of Practice
PsychoTherapy
Kelsey currently serves as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in Private Practice. She works individually with children, teens, and adults on a variety of issues, and has specialized training in work with queer, trans, and genderfluid people around identity formation, celebration, and expansion. Her lens and therapeutic approach are intersectional and informed by critical race, queer, feminist, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based theories.
Clinical Supervision
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a psychotherapy privilege licensed in New York State, Kelsey offers clinical supervision to LMSWs looking to earn their clinical hours, LCSWs looking to earn their R hours, and other mental health practitioners hoping to deepen their practice. She received her SIFI Certification (Seminar in Field Instruction) from NYU Silver School of Social Work and completed Clinical Supervision Certificate Training through the National Association of Social Workers.
queer & trans family building
As an ASRM-Trained Fertility Counselor, Kelsey offers psychoeducational counseling and consultation for queer and trans people, couples, polycules, co-parents, and other family constellations pursuing family building through known sperm, egg, or embryo donation. Grounded in informed consent and trauma-informed care, these sessions support legal and relational clarity while honoring queer joy, self-determination, and the expansiveness of chosen family.
ADVOCACY
The root of Kelsey’s clinical, research, and consulting work lies in her activism and advocacy. With personal experience of the impacts of each, Kelsey critically considers how power differentials inform relational dynamics. In addition to ongoing involvement in activism to make gender-affirming surgery more accessible, Kelsey served as the Co-Chair of the SOGIE Collective (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression) within the New York City Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers from April 2017 to June 2020.
Research
While earning her Masters in Social Work at Columbia University, Kelsey studied religious trauma, intimate partner violence, and family acceptance within the LGBTQ+ community. As an Advanced Practice PhD Candidate at Columbia School of Social Work, her current research interests include: Interrogating social work practice and pedagogy through lenses of anti-colonialism and queer theory; and Clinical practice with LGBTQ+ youth, adults, and families.
Teaching & Pedagogy
Kelsey has guest lectured at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, Columbia University School of Social Work, and NYU Silver School of Social Work. Throughout her doctoral program, she has prioritized honing teaching skills through the Advanced Track of Columbia’s Teaching Development Program (TDP), fellowships within Columbia’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), and TAships within Columbia School of Social Work Master’s-level courses.

Kelsey has experience facilitating clinical, organizational, and pedagogical trainings and workshops in a variety of settings including workplaces for staff; schools for social workers, guidance counselors, faculty, and administrators; and leadership boards for non-profit organizations.
